New Richmond Riverdays

There is never an admission charge to RiverDays, and parking is always free.
This year the festival will showcase:
- the 25th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta. Registration begins
at 10am Saturday, August 19th, with the races starting at 1pm.
Abundant seating is available on the banks of the Ohio River, within short walking distance of the World’s Only Cardboard Boat Racing Museum. These unique water craft are powered by crews of anywhere from one to 10 people, ranging in age from 6-86 and coming from places including Honolulu, Finland, Montana, Colorado, Lexington, and, of course, the Greater Cincinnati area. Twenty-seven speed and creative trophies will be awarded to an impressive field of some 70 boats.

- Kiddie rides & games INCLUDING a dual 40’ high, 200’ long
Zip Line down the midway of Western Avenue
- ORSANCO’s “Life Below the Waterline” will make its RiverDays
debut through a generous sponsorship by Cincinnati’s Hilltop Basic Resources. The 2,200 gallon mobile teaching aquarium highlights the fish of the Ohio River basin.
- Annual Saturday 10pm fireworks show over the Ohio River
Musical Acts to Perform:
Friday, August 18th begins the weekend with live music on two stages.
Stage one; 6-9pm welcomes Indiana-born Blues/Rock guitarist Jay Jesse Johnson (jayjessejohnson.com), 9pm-midnight, Cheap Thrill, a three-piece Classic Rock band covering the songs of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Stage Two; 7-10pm, Robin Lacy Trio.
Saturday, August 19th: Stage One, 6-9pm Haymarket Riot, 9pm-midnight The Classic Rock Experience, 70s Arena Rock by Cincinnati’s own Midnight Special; Stage Two, 7-9pm the three sisters of Triple the Trouble who write and sing original songs as well as familiar pop tunes, 9pm-midnight Acoustic Heroes.
Sunday, August 20th the Bluegrass crosses over the Ohio and spends the day in New Richmond, with All-Day Bluegrass music ‘til festival’s end.
Music begins at 2pm with all-female CAMMY award-winners Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers (cincymusic.com/bands/ma-crow), 3pm The Bluegrass Mafia, 4pm Ronnie Deaton & Risin’ Ridge (facebook.com/RonnieDeatonRisinRidge), and at 5pm with Gary Strong & Hardtimes closing out the festival.
